As a frequent user and abuser of the Airbrush service it really helps breaking through the mental block at the beginning of a project. Having the base colours completed quickly and in one batch means I can easily dive into the army project to complete the final few steps in my own time.

Karl provides an excellent service with high-quality results, I've had a number commissions done by him now and have never been disappointed. He easily matched my Red Corsairs scheme at the Warrior Workshop level commission from Seige Studios - but with a more consistent and higher quality controlled result at better rates! He nailed a gritty yet high standard Orlock gang for Necromunda with some equally great but weathered terrain to set the scene! Karl has a great style that blends excellent airbrush use, oil washes, weathering and well placed highlights.
I look forward to getting more projects done by him in the near future. Karl is one of the best in Wellington and one of the only people I'd trust to complete any of my 40K armies/Necromunda gangs/Terrain sets.

I was given Karl's Facebook details from a mutual friend a few years back. His display picture was(and probably still is) that of a disheveled man emerging from a spiderweb. Seeing a bloke with long hair and a beard, sporting Buddy Holly esque glasses covered in gossamer was admittedly a little unnerving, but he came highly recommended, so I contained my prejudices for the moment; and frankly, I'm so glad I did.
What followed was the start of a wonderful relationship both professionally and personally.
Karl has painted several full armies for me over the last few years. He has an incredible talent for developing your wayward creative vision into something more with masterful precision.
His down-to-earth collaborative approach will feel like you're part of the creative process without having to touch a paintbrush.
His passion for the artistry and technical ability is evident from the outset, every detail executed with care, and it inspires alot of confidence throughout the process knowing you're in the hands of someone who genuinely loves what they do.
Quality versus Price simply can't be beaten here, too. Every tournament without fail, I'll have someone complimenting my models and asking if they can take a closer look. "Best Army" quality miniatures at an affordable price.
Overall, if you're looking for a painter that can produce masterpiece models through combining technical wizardry, affordability with a down to earth, personable approach all the while looking like a front man for a 90s metal band, Karl is the man for the job.
